A Visit with Mary Shelley Performed by Adrienne Provenzano
Adrienne Provenzano is an accomplished professional musician (vocalist, pianist, and composer) and educator. Her areas of research interest include women’s history and connecting the arts and humanities with STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields. She has presented talks at the Smithsonian Institute’s National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C., the Space Exploration Educators Conference at Space Center Houston, the United States Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, and the United Nations Office of Women Headquarters in New York City. Concert performance sites include the Indiana State Museum, the Limberlost State Historic Site, and the Allen County Public Library.
Historical portrayals include Mary Shelley, Gene Stratton-Porter, Amelia Earhart, and Sarah Bolton. Several of her songs were designated official Bicentennial Legacy Projects for the State of Indiana in 2016. She holds degrees from Arcadia University, Indiana University (IPFW campus), and the University of Pennsylvania and graduate credits from Butler University. She is a nationally Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association for Interpretation and an Advanced Indiana Master Naturalist, as well as a volunteer with the NASA JPL-CalTech Solar System Ambassador Program.
