Kosciusko Literacy Services has one fulltime employee and one part-time employee.
Fulltime employee Cynthia L. Cates has served as Executive Director of Kosciusko Literacy Services since February of 2006. Ms. Cates was promoted from her position as Public Relations Director of Kosciusko Literacy Services, a position she had held since September of 2003. Prior to joining Kosciusko Literacy Services, Ms. Cates held management positions in both the public and private sectors. Ms. Cates earned a Master of Science in Industrial Administration (MBA) from the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University where she also earned a Bachelor of Science.
Ms. Cates will be the contact person and coordinator for the program. As Executive Director, Ms. Cates serves on several outreach committees, such as the Education Steering Committee at the Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce, Kosciusko County-Educational Development Committee, and Kosciusko County Youth Net. With a spirit of collaboration, Ms. Cates believes that working with other agencies is a key for success for all involved including the clients, the agencies, and the community.
Joining Kosciusko Literacy Services in August of 2006, Linda S. Tinkey, Kosciusko Literacy Services Public Relations Director and Program Director, holds a Master Degree in Education Degree from Ball State University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and Associate Degree in Arts from Concordia College. Prior to joining Kosciusko Literacy Services, Mrs. Tinkey was the Director of Preschool and a preschool and kindergarten teacher at Redeemer Lutheran School.
